Welcome at JIVATMA YOGA CENTER
We believe yoga is for everybody. We strive to create a welcoming, relaxed, open and professional environment where every student feels comfortable. Our team is very approachable and available to answer any questions you may have about your practice.
Useful info:

Please be on time. As a courtesy to the teachers and other students, please arrive early enough to settle in without rushing.

Late arrivals will not be accepted more than 5 minutes after the start time of the class.

Remove your shoes as you enter the space.

State your presence at the lobby each time you come for a class.

Turn your mobile phones off or to vibrate mode. Strictly no phones to be used in the yoga room.

If you choose to wear a smartwatch, please make sure the display is turned off as to not disturb others during class.

No personal belongings in the yoga room other than a bottle of water and a towel.

We also strongly advise against wearing perfume.

The yoga room is intended to be a quiet zone. Please refrain from any loud talking in the yoga room. Many students use the time before class to quiet and centre themselves as they prepare for class.

Leaving the room during class should be limited to emergencies.

If you have an injury please get the all-clear from your doctor before attending our classes. Make the teacher aware of all injuries before the class. Listen to what your body is telling you and move accordingly.

Please do not practice if you have a cold or flu as you risk more harm to yourself as well as others around you. Stay home and take rest. We reserve the right to refuse entry to class if you present unwell.

For the best results, we recommend practising at least 2-3 times per week minimum, to get the consistent benefits that a yoga practice can offer you.

You can bring your own yoga mat or you are welcome to use one of our mats.

We provide you with quality mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, pillows and blankets for complimentary use during your class. At the end of the practice please return them to their location and fold them as you found them.

We have locker rooms available for you to use.

Dress in clothing that allows you to move freely and be comfortable.

Avoid eating any large meals at least 2-3 hours before you plan to take a yoga class.
